Awareness Through Movement is the term for group movement lessons. The participants, verbally directed, experiment and move in a gentle and non-straining way within their own range of ability in a non-competitive environment. The sequence of movements, ranging from simple to complex, are done while lying, sitting or standing. These movements help us to become more aware of the way different parts of the body move in relation to each other.
Each person, in their own individual learning process, finds out about their patterns of movement and how easy it can be to widen their range of possibilities and to find new ways of using him or herself with more ease, grace and power.
